This blog is to journal my health, my craft and my life in general. I have been intrigued with the idea of simplifying my life and minimalism for years but have never really acted upon it. I am going to start today since we are starting a new session in my weight loss group today as well. Otherwise I will keep putting off changing-like I have been for years. I’ve become quite sloppy and messy since becoming ill a few years ago. I’ve let a lot of thing slide and collected a lot of clutter. Part of accepting the fact that I have chronic illnesses is adapting my life so that I can LIVE again rather than just moving through the days.
Thank you to all the ladies of the Truly Committed to Weight Loss MyFitnessPal group. You’ve shown me that even small changes can have large results and that with support I can do it.
My name is Kimberley.
I’m in my forties.
In 2011 I was diagnosed with Type Two Diabetes Mellitis. In 2012 I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. I had surgery and a radioactive iodine treatment. In 2013 I’ve been diagnosed with Fybromyalgia, Cervical Degeneration with neuropathy and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I’m hoping 2014 will be a quiet year health wise!
I’m an avid reader, crocheter and knitter. I’m a daughter, a sister, an aunt and a great-aunt. I live every day in pain. I’m tired.
I’m tired of being in pain and I’m tired of being tired. I need to make changes. I’m committed to making whatever changes I can to improve my health and my life.
