“It is not joy that makes us grateful; it is gratitude that makes us joyful.”
David Steindl-Rast, a Benedictine Monk
Today is Thanksgiving Day in Canada. Yesterday my family all got together at my mother’s for dinner. It was great to have the ten of us all there. We had our typical traditional meal for this day. Roast turkey, bread stuffing, meat stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, homemade cranberry sauce and a dinner roll. And for dessert, pumpkin pie and pecan pie. We all left the table as full as can be! And came home with leftovers!
This year I’m grateful for:
A great meal with four generations in attendance!!!
A childhood dream rekindled
What are giving thanks for this year?
